Stake Girls Camp 2022 Kick-Off

- Each Young Woman will have Beach Pictures taken at the Kick off to be put up in Camp Cabins

To register your YW for camp by February 20, 2022 three steps have to take place!
All adult Leaders and YW will have to complete this 3-step process by February 20, 2022!
1. Fill out the Google form attached here!

2. Send your YW camp fee of $40. to your bishopric as a donation marked, “Other” and write on the slip, “Stake YW Camp”. This can also be done electronically. The ward clerks in each ward have been asked to have a special YW account to place these payments into.
3. Completely and carefully fill out and SIGN the Medical Permission Form. You can upload it in the Google form.
For our upcoming camp this summer, we will be able to sleep in cabins with a large pavilion and kitchen to have our meals together. We will have terrific food! We will also have our own amphitheater for amazing evening activities. There are bathrooms, flushing toilets and showers. This camp was designed with the help of Sister Marjorie Pay Hinckley, wife of the prophet, as a place where “the young women of the church could have spiritual experiences in the tops of the mountains.” The missionaries who serve there feel it is like another temple. We are going to honor that!
We will have a spiritual mini “EFY” with 8 workshops all connected to our theme:
“I Will…Catch The Wave” (President Russell M. Nelson, April 2013).
These workshops will not only teach the gospel of Jesus Christ, but will be filled with arts, crafts, games and practical application. The spirit has been strong with the YCL’s and leaders as they have planned and prepared for the last 8 months! Our camp will also be filled with outdoor activities on the lake and “Sandy beach!” Beautiful hikes, meaningful service projects, singing and so much more!
We will have special classes for our new young 11-12 year old YW..as well as our older junior and senior YW, to help them prepare to leave home.
While this is an opportunity for the YW of our stake to get to know each other as they will be in cabins together, it will also allow for special ‘ward time’ when the YW will gather with those they know and love from their own ward group for special times, like testimony meeting.
Don’t forget to mark on your calendar for the NEW date of our Camp Kick-Off, Saturday, March 19, 2022 @ the Stake Center! Your YW received a message in a bottle invitation for this, but the date had to be changed. Come at 10am for a camp overview, a fun tie-dye project and get your photo taken on the beach! Don’t leave without grabbing an “ocean in a cup!”
Thank you for your help and support to make this camp a highlight of your young woman’s life. We know the Lord loves them all so much!
