Thank you for taking the time to read this newsletter. You’ll find sunday school updates and dates for the Aaronic Priesthood Commemoration Campout!
Changes to the Sunday Class Meeting Schedule
The First Presidency has announced that beginning the first week of September 2026, the Sunday worship class schedule will be changing. Sacrament meeting will remain no longer than 60 minutes. Following a 5-minute transition, youth and adults will attend a 25-minute Sunday School class each week, then another 5-minute transition into a 25-minute priesthood quorum, Relief Society, or Young Women meeting.
Primary will continue to meet weekly and will now last 55 minutes. Sunday School and Primary classes will continue studying the scriptures using Come, Follow Me for Home and Church. Elders quorums and Relief Societies will study messages from the most recent general conference, and youth will use a new and expanded edition of For the Strength of Youth: A Guide for Making Choices. Quorums and classes will no longer counsel together on a specific topic prior to lessons.

Aaronic Priesthood Commemoration Campout – April 24-25
The young men of our ward are invited to join us for the Aaronic Priesthood Commemoration Campout! We’ll be setting up camp at 5pm on Friday, April 24th at Canyon Oaks Campground in Highland. It’s a great chance to hang out with neighbors and friends overnight. Bring your own dinner and breakfast will be provided. The First Presidency Broadens Sunday School Leadership Opportunities
The First Presidency recently announced that ward Sunday School presidencies can now be made up entirely of women or entirely of men. Bishoprics get to seek inspiration and call whoever the Spirit directs, regardless of gender. If a woman is called as Sunday School president, her counselors and secretary would also be women; same goes if a man is called. The General Handbook has already been updated to reflect the change.

General Conference – April 4/5th
General Conference is coming up on Easter weekend, Saturday April 4th and Sunday April 5th! The First Presidency, the Quorum of the Twelve, and other General Authorities and Officers will all be speaking, come ready to receive personal revelation. The Bishopric invites everyone to listen, study, ponder, and apply the counsel given!

Fast and Testimony Meeting – April 12th
Because of the Easter season and General Conference our wards fast and testimony meeting will be held on April 12th.

You can now access their patriarchal blessings from the Home section of the Gospel Library app. To view your blessing, sign in using your Church account and use app version 7.4 or later.
If you don’t automatically see your blessing in the app, request digital access by tapping on the Patriarchal Blessings card in the Home section. It may take a few weeks to fulfill digital access requests.
