Aaronic Priesthood Camp

Camp Links

Overview

We love the young men in our stake.  We pray for them daily that they will feel the love of their Savior Jesus Christ and have a desire to walk with Him.

The focus of our camp this year is to help the YM:

  • Recognize what it means to walk with Him
  • Focus daily on what type of man they want to be
  • Understand the importance of the restoration and priesthood power
  • Remember the importance of virtue and the joy of daily repentance
  • Feel the strength received through studying the Book of Mormon

These lessons will be taught through activities, devotionals, a hike, a theme walk, trust exercises, a testimony meeting, and time spent serving one another.

We know that when we walk with Christ, all things are possible, life has deeper meaning, and we feel more joy. We want this for every young man in our stake and look forward to spending these three action-packed days together.

Security, Emergencies & Policies

Camp Security

We want to ensure everyone is safe at camp. If your child needs to leave camp early or come up to camp after our scheduled check in, we need to know the time and name of the person bringing them up/taking them home. You’ll also need to check in with the front gate before you proceed to our campground.

Emergency Contacts

These brothers will be in attendance on site the whole week.  If there is an emergecy please contact one of them.

  • Adam Lough: 801-718-4326
  • Rob Gurney: 801-922-0957
  • Douglas Logan: 801-660-5499
  • Cortney Moss: 801-358-0812
Cell Phone Policy

We’d love it if your son could leave their phone at home.  If your sone brings a phone to camp it should be in camera-only mode.  We want young men to be fully present, and we want them to go home with a camera roll full of great memories!  We do plan to have a google folder available with pictures and a wrap-up video done by Brother Topham.

Conduct at Church Activities

Church events and activities can be fun, uplifting, and spiritually strengthening for everyone who attends. To reach these aims, all participants are invited to commit to follow the principles taught in For the Strength of Youth: A Guide for Making Choices. When you do, the experience will be better for everyone.

Please note that Church activities are not the time or place for romantic behavior or for conversations and actions that distract from the purpose of the event or activity.

If you participate in any of the following prohibited activities, leaders at the event or activity will speak with you, your parents, and your bishop or stake president. These leaders may decide to send you home immediately.

  • Participating in or encouraging immoral behavior of any kind, which includes breaking the law of chastity or viewing or distributing pornography in any form
  • Shoplifting, theft, or vandalism of any kind
  • Breaking the Word of Wisdom, including vaping and possessing illegal or harmful substances
  • Possessing weapons or dangerous items of any kind (if specifically authorized, certain items may be provided and used in supervised activities)
  • Harming or threatening to harm yourself or others physically, spiritually, or emotionally, including bullying in any form or disrupting another’s experience
  • Leaving without following proper procedures, skipping scheduled activities without permission, or breaking curfew

Crimes and harmful or destructive incidents or pranks may be reported to local authorities, who will respond according to local law. Leaders follow the direction of these authorities.
